Super Citrus Smoothie

I hate it when I'm making a milkshake and boys just start showing up in my yard.

(I totally found that on Pinterest, but whatev. I thought I would share the laugh with you.)

These aren't milkshakes.  Actually, they're kind of  *gasp*  healthy. Maybe the healthiest thing I will ever post, since this blog IS supposed to be about chocolate. I've had a bad cold lately (which probably explains why I haven't posted any delicious treats lately- I do apologize. It's rare that food leaves me disinterested.)

These are *kinda* like Jamba Juice Coldbusters.  Which are pretty much the center of my universe.  Well, really these aren't all that much like Coldbusters, except they both taste citrusy, but if you like those, I promise you will like these too.

By the way... Jamba should totally deliver.  Who's with me?

Enough rambling.  I have a date with Mr. Nyquil anways.

Let me know if your smoothie brings any boys to the yard.

Super Citrus Smoothie
Recipe slightly adapted from Joy the Baker

-2 tablespoons lemon juice (A small lemon will yield about 2+ Tbsp juice, but be sure to measure it because too much will be overpowering)
-1 cup fresh orange juice (About 2 ginormous oranges, or up to 5 small ones)
-Juice from 1 small grapefruit or half of a large one
-1 Tbsp honey
-1 frozen banana, not overly ripe
-1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (I personally under-measure this a bit)
-About 14 ice cubes (More, if you want a really icy drink instead of a smoothie)

Blend everything but the ice together until combined. Then add the ice cubes and blend until smooth.
This will make 2 small smoothies or one huge smoothie (which I have no problem polishing off allll by myself thank you very much.)

I like my smoothies a little sour but you can add more honey if you like.

Yummy, yummy!! Those sound absolutely delicious!! Mason asks for a "smoovie" almost every day...I'll have to try this one soon!! Plus...actually juicing the fruit is WAY more tasty than the alternative! Thanks for sharing! Hope you feel better soon!!
